008. One Way to Get You Motivated

This past March, I was provided the opportunity to visit Iceland. One of the Icelandic basketball players had trouble getting up every morning to train… We talked about what motivated him and one thing came up over and over again - he wanted to be the best.

So, I asked him who he thought the best currently was.

We then printed out a photo of that person put it by his alarm clock.

Underneath the picture were these words, “While you were sleeping, I was training.”

Are you willing to give up what you want now what what you want most?

Life isn’t about saying no to the things you don’t want to do. It’s about saying no to the things you DO want to do, knowing that they’ll take you off course.
